Lesser Platinum - Male - From "Busy Lesser" Sire
History, Genetics, Etc.
My busy lessers came from Ben Siegel a few years ago....Ben actually called them "busy lessers" and I bought both of them (1.1), but for some reason didn't try to buy the "busy" non-lesser that he hatched in the same clutch.
The "busy" gene is something I haven't quite figured out. A "busy" has been produced on its own, several times now, without the lesser platinum gene. Some look remarkably like a yellowbelly (even though they are not, according to Ben).
I have also paired up the two original "busy" lessers, so we could potentially see a super form of the "busy" this season.
This male is from the second clutch I produced, and that first clutch only yielded one lesser (a paradox with some aberrant patterning) and one "busy" non-lesser. Because it's so early on in the project and I don't have a large group of these to look at, I can't tell for sure if this male is carrying the same genetics as his father or not. That being the case, he is just being priced as a standard lesser platinum.
