C2 Citrus Glow
The Citrus Glow FHP project is a group comprised of C2 Cream-on-Cream male, bred to the most vibrant yellow to orange colored crested geckos that I produced with my original Creamsicle project.

Unlike the Creamsicle project, which has frustrated many a breeder over the past ten years, this project has only existed about 10 months and the C2 genetics have proven once again, to be extremely potent, both in producing geckos with heavy cream dorsal patterns and with extremely clean color.

Project Status
This year, I'll continue breeding the male to the same unrelated females and then when the first generation offspring are ready to breed, I will select the brightest yellow and orange ones to continue this project.  Any pale colored offspring (those who get dad's color) will be added to the C2 Cream-on-Cream project, in order to strengthen its genetic diversity.

Geckos produced from this project in 2008 will have the potential to go either way...bright yellow to bright orange with a cream pattern or cream on cream, like dad.

This 5 month old juvenile was observed flattening its body against a swaying leaf, in order to keep from falling backward. The coordination and dexterity of the crested gecko never ceases to amaze me.

C2 - Male

Little did I know how much of an impact C2 would play in so many different projects...and to think I could have started breeding him years ago!  I've produced thousands of geckos to date and seen thousands more, yet aside from his offspring, I have never seen another crested gecko that exhibits the unique, subtle glow that he displays.

Below are two of the unrelated females that I paired up with the male to produce the first generation C2 Citrus Glow offspring.

These geckos appear tan in color until about 9 months of age. Only then does it become apparent if their base color will become yellow-orange or cream.
