NEW CRESTED GECKO COLLECTION AREA - 6/11/2008

Introducing the ACReptiles.com Online Store

If the recent facility move hadn't clued you in, our python and gecko collections are growing at a break-neck pace.  With a bigger collection obviously comes more babies, so we needed a way to organize orders so that we can keep up with everything.  The new online store platform has a ton of convenient features that I think we're all going to enjoy.  ACReptiles.com will stay just like it is (although we'll be adding some new stuff here as well), but all shopping activity will be done in the new online store area.

Personal Attention to EVERY Order
I know it can be a little intimidating ordering through an online shopping cart and wondering if an actual human will carefully look at your order, so I want to make it clear that nothing has changed.  I look at each order personally.  It's still just me and Gary, so you know that everyone who touches your order knows what's going on.

Availability Up-to-Date 24/7
My new online store is designed to mark animals sold as soon as the order is placed, so now the availability is kept current at all times...no need to reserve the animal before you order.

Automatic Availability Updates
Now you can sign up to receive an email whenever I update availability, add new products, etc.

Coupons for Forum Members
Our new Online Store platform has a coupon feature, which I've already used once (hint: it pays to be a member of the ciliatus.com community).  I'm planning to make some more special offers available to Ciliatus.com and CarpetPythons.net members, so sign up if you haven't already.

Automatically Calculated Shipping
You no longer need to break out the calculator to make an order. The new cart system does everything for you...once you have a shopping account, just pick what you want, pay and that's it!

My crested gecko section here got so big that I had to make it it's own website!

Aside from tons of information about crested geckos, the forums are getting pretty popular.  We now have over 600 members, the website is averaging around 100,000 page views per month and the numbers are still climbing steadily.

Here's some of what's featured on Ciliatus.com...

Carpet Pythons - Breeding Season 2008
First off, don't worry. I'll be putting up the 2008 Breeding Season page soon.

I  would anticipate producing another 100-200 carpets this season.  Of course, we are moving, so who knows how that will affect things.  I'm all about planning, but sometimes you have to just wing it and roll with the punches and that's pretty much the extent of my plan this year.

I have a notoriously late breeding season with my pythons here in KC, so I just started cooling at the first of the year.  Breeding season is already underway, though.  Some promising pairings include Bullwinkle x GQ and some cool Diamond Crosses.

I just posted some snapshots of a few of my adults on CarpetPythons.net. Click HERE to check them out.

75% Irian Jaya Jaguars
The first 75% IJ Jaguars produced in the United States.

This 75% Irian Jaya Jaguar is about 5 months old in the photo and she's already showing great potential.  Her  pedigree goes back to my original GQ male Irian Jaya.

Last year's 75% Irian Jaya Jaguars were produced by breeding a male 50% Irian Jaya Jaguar (produced here) to several Irian Jaya females.  In addition to a smaller adult size, the Irian Jaya Jaguars also seem to have richer color and a further reduced pattern.

Now Online

This new website is a joint project between myself and Reptiles by Andrew Hare.  The idea started about four years ago to build an extensive carpet python resource website.  We decided to install forums several months ago and now that the resource website is nearing completion, we've decided to launch the forums and get things rolling.

Leopard Geckos
Breeding Season 2008

This gecko is from a group we've dubbed the "Carrot Heads". She's of the most intense Tangerines I've ever seen. She's also het for Tremper Albino (Sunglow). We're now entering our 2008 breeding season.  We're going to be offering a little bit of everything this year.

We were fortunate enough to have sold out a bit prematurely for 2007, but our breeding colony has nearly tripled now, so we hope to be able to provide a good variety of high end leopards this year.

Please keep an eye on my new Online Store for available leopard geckos.  Once there, you can also sign up to receive availability updates via email.

Reg. Price $179
 *Sale Price* $159

*Our manufacturer has extended the sale price indefinitely due to the sheer volume of racks being ordered at the sale price.  We're continuing to call it a sale price because the price could go back up if the cost of raw materials continues to go up.  We're hoping that the increased volume will prevent that from happening, but we want to play it safe. :)
